I haven’t been to the movies since The Hunt For Red October. Over-priced tickets, over-priced food & drink and a freezing theatre. No thanks.

Good morning, cleo, sugar, Fellow Baby & the rest of the CD gang!

Good morning Cd Friends and fans. Very good points. I rarely go. I can stream movie from the Internet for amuck lower price. And I don’t have to deal with young people texting on their cellphones. Y’all have a fun filled day.

Eldo where are you? When I saw three billion dollars for a movie ticket, I thought this was your work. Last time we went to the movies, it was so crowded we had to sit way up front. Un-enjoyable! We wait until they come on TV. There is nothing that great out there.

We spend a few extra dollars and always go to a Cinopolis. They have electric reclining seats, 21 and over shows where you can drink alcohol, call buttons for wait service, lots of elbow room. Can’t go back to a regular theater now.

My wife and I go out to a theatre occasionally to watch a new film. We usually wait until the film is available on BluRay or DVD because we do have a separate theatre room at home, with power recliners and much cheaper popcorn!.However, one thing missing at home is the audience reaction. We first noticed this when we viewed “The Exorcist” the first time at home. It’s just not the same without the larger audience reactions. The same problem occurs when you visit a drive in theatre, a rapidly diminishing experience…

Good evening Fellow Baby, cleo and sugie and all YE GATHERED HERE!

Have only been to the movie theatres these past few years for as I have posted before, LOL, to see the LOTR trilogy, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (C.S. Lewis, not Tolkien), and The Hobbit. The last of the HOBBIT is out now, I hope I get to see it. The Tolkien tales have become a family Christmas tradition. I would hate to miss the last one!

I just finished watching the last of my Christmas movies. Of all that I have – and have seen, it’s my favorite and is called Meet John Doe with Gary Cooper, Barbara Stanwyck, Edward Arnold, Walter Brennan and James Gleason among others.
