Good morning, cleo, Shika, Fellow Baby & the rest of the CD gang!

I have a Grampa’s Weeder tool (a great tool that makes weeding easy) that I carry with me whenever I work in my yard, plus a plastic bag hanging from my lawn mower’s handlebars. Whenever I spot a weed, I immediately bend down (a lot easier now with my new hip), pop it out, and dump it in the bag, or in a bucket if I’m not mowing. As a result, my lawn is 95% weed-free with minimal effort. Plus, it’s kind of fun looking for weeds to pop out—like looking for Easter eggs, without the need to eat the darned things (I don’t like hard-boiled eggs).

The formal Agricultural definition of a weed is: Any plant growing where it is not wanted."
