Click-to-enlarge image (and detail image) can be found here, or at Mr. Melcher’s blog entry (no detail image). The Infant Christ Distributing Bread to the Pilgrims (links show Wikipedia pages) is shown, with a different coloration click-to-enlarge image (different coloration, click-to-humongous image shown by the Google Cultural Institute), by its current-location page.Another different coloration, enlarged image, can be found here, along with a description, and its detail image (which it says features who, Google translated, commissioned the painting). The artist’s Wikipedia page (Google translated Spanish Wikipedia page has much more) and collection (more under Subcategories at each level).Second, of the 2 works, by this artist, that have, so far, appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog, to also appear here.

Again with the severed baby heads.-I,m guessing the guy in the front was the patron who paid for the painting. I’m also guessing when he saw the sketch, with all the little winged bodies in the clouds, he found them too distracting, and told the artist to just paint the heads.-Creepy by today’s standards – or maybe not, considering “Bride of Chuckie”.
