Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce for September 04, 1993
Transcript:
Dad: Nate, I'm very disappointed in you. You blew the money I gave you for back-to-school clothes on junk food and video games! Before I decide on your punishment, do you have anything to say for yourself? Nate: Yes, I do. I think having to go back to school is punishment enough! Don't you? Apparently not.

Nate has so much potential, but no willpower. He is actually in reality decently intelligent, even more intelligent than Ellen but the problem is that Nate is more on the slacker slide, reducing his efforts causing Ellen to be more superior in school than Nate.
