Snap your fingers at a waitperson and you will get more than you asked for! My kids have worked in the food service industry, and have tales to tell about what happens to rude diners!
Snap your fingers at the waitperson. Like they’re trash. When my daughters were young(er) I told them to watch how their dates treated people like waiters. People can be on their best behavior towards you, but they often slip up with waiters and show their true colors.I get really, really mad about mistreatment of people who can’t resist.
Yeah, I kinda have a rule… though I made it up the first and only time I had to invoke it….
If I’m ever travelling or having a meal with someone who snaps his/her fingers at anyone for service…. cos it didn’t happen to be wait staff that time…. that’s the last time we do that.
Which means, no more dinners with Joy.That’s easy, cos there never have been or would be in a million years anyway.
But sometimes you get sucked in, cos of a work meeting, a family gathering, an organization you belong to….and you see reprehensible behavior. The best you can do is try to avoid ever being part of it again. The horrible thing is when it’s your boss doing it…. I had one, briefly … a really nice guy, strangely enough, but an old-school, take-you-out-for-3-drinks-with-lunch, slap-you-on-the-back kind of guy…whose behavior in restaurants made me cringe and blush.
At least he didn’t snap his fingers at the waitress.
Ma looks kinda irked there. Will she put Burl and Joy in their places? Joy will eat his egg roll laced with EX lax.
You can tell a lot about a person while eating. I am trying to teach grand son 10 yrs old table manners. apparently his mom isn’t. restaurants are full of bad mannered people around here.
I think I have seen the Penny’s once or maybe twice ..
SNAP?!?!? Ah, the comely server just as suddenly wears that “when I bring the 4th one back out, I’ll make a suggestion as to just where you can stick it, or……..(drum roll please!!) stick it up there myself!” expression on her face!! Snickers! SNICKERS!! AND choco-dipped fortune cookies (sans fortune!!)!!
Actually, I thought those wafting lines around Ma meant something else.Gladys Cravitts… Ah yes, driven insane…don’t think she was shot. She always knew something was up with Samantha.
“SNAP” It isn’t on your bill you idiot, they are free. I hope your fortune cookie is “You are a fool. This meal will be down the toilet tomorrow if not sooner”
