Laura: I'm kidding, Adam. If you put your mind to being a coffee shop owner, you'd be great. Adam; I would, wouldn't I? Laura: Yep. But I bet you'd miss working from home. Adam: True. I've been "at home Adam" for so long. Laura; It would mean some changes. Adam: Like... Maybe only one nap a day. Laura: Success takes sacrifice, dear.

Woman I used to work with somehow managed to get her husband to mortgage his house to open a coffee shop. The business failed in less than a year, and she left him holding the bag on the mortgage, despite emphatic promises to pay the debt no matter what happened. Oddly, she did not think she was a bad person. “He should have known better.”

Hmm “at home adam” indicates a hint at a change in the comic. Sweet if that is so. I think adam would be great at running a coffee shop he has the passion and Laura won’t sign off unless the deal is good. So I see a title change

In the first couple of years Adam should expect to see very little profit after taking enough to live on out of the business. Having worked in an insolvency department, I’ve seen so many promising businesses fail just because the owner was either greedy or tried to expand too fast.
