GRITSthat DRY thinks it’s amateurish of us having to deal with multiple car accidents resulting in deaths, traffic backups stranding motorists for 7 hours, thousands of people without power, some dying from carbon monoxide poisoning while trying to stay warm, tens of millions of dollars in damage and all among a terrain that make the hills of Pennsylvania pale in comparison. I call it a lousy and insensitive thing to say and will consider her future remarks like the way they were back in the blissful days when I couldn’t see them. Shame on me for standing up and trying to get her reinstated. With that, I am GONE.
good morning and happy monday locos I took a peek at our upcoming weather. On Friday, only supposed to be a rain on Tuesday Night and Wednesday. Yesterday we got a winter weather watch issued and they are saying snow Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I guess we see if we learned anything from last time. Duke I hope you’re not really gone.
We have storms here that qualify WELL PAST hurricane force but we don’t WHINE about it. WHAT PART OF PEOPLE HAVE DIED DID YOU MISS. I TAKE THAT VERY SERIOUSLY. SORRY YOU DON’T. AND YOU WANT TO COMPARE NOTES ON FLOODING REALLY?? DON’T EVEN BOTHER TO RESPOND BECAUSE I WILL BE SKIPPING OVER ALL OF YOUR FUTURE POSTS, MS. SENSITIVITY.
It’s not worth responding to. You went off the deep end. Took what I said last night and twisted it ALL OUT OF PROPORTION! And your link didn’t work by the way. I did see the 50 years ago in the type, we’ve never had historic deadly storms ever, (sarcasm).
I think this winter has been the worst, and CLEO has a point that when the weather is not normal for the area, it has a greater impact. I too was confused by the celebratory nature of announcing the weather made the news, but I know you didn’t mean it to look like that. Having survived the ice storm here at Christmas which also claimed lives in the area, I can appreciate how you feel out west. This was way above what our city has ever had happen in decades.

AKENTA, I just realized you don’t get snow much, do you? Aren’t you in the south? You wouldn’t be prepared for it. Take care.

Common ground: this winter stinks! Let’s hope we can survive it and never have to deal with another like it again.
Good night all!
