Living in Western Washington, this one kind of hits close to home. We’ve had a record month of rainfall in March and they’re still trying to find people in that landslide north of Seattle. April can’t come soon enough.
The strip is only three panels today. This does not afford a lot of time nor space for John’s reaction. John does not overreact to little things as badly as Elly does, but we can presume if it continued into a story arc or more panels were made after the joke John would probably hand the kids a mop saying “You brought in the mud, you clean it up!”

Same here… it’s been POURING all day today, yesterday, and supposed to tomorrow… and the rainfall warnings don’t help! March.
