Quite a lot of mailbox action today! E.B. should be pleased that his deity is receiving so much attention and not hold a dog guilty as if sentient nor its mistress. He does not understand the biological needs of animal-kind.

55 years ago, in my hometown, we had a mailbox down at the end of the block that was painted green..It didn’t have a letter door on top though and as a young kid I didn’t know what it was used for..One day I finally saw a mailman use his key to open it up and saw it was just a package/bulk mail drop box used so he wouldn’t have to walk so far back to his truck.(back then they ‘walked’ the whole route instead of driving door to door)
