Good to see Calvin has a realistic take on life.

I don’t know Calvin…that math homework is going to hang over your head all night…this time it won’t be a dream! ;)

I resemble that remark! Sir, loin thy girds… er, gird thy loins… er, never mind. Too much trouble.

Things have their own way to go!

This year, it certainly might. From what I hear. Where I live we had 25ºC yesterday, here in S. Europe. I’ve been reading Laura Ingalls Wilder’s “The Long Winter” as a gesture of solidarity.

I love C&H and Bill Watterson’s wit, but The Simpsons aired an episode in which Bart went through this same type of thing three and a half years before this strip series. Probably one of the earliest instances where you can say, “Simpsons did it.”

@zac rutterIt must be great reading C&H for the first time. This strip started in 1985 and probably predates your Simpsons episode by 20 years.

and then tomorrow:“Where’s the homework? You had an extra day!”

Course one could always be allowed to stay up later to do homework. (But not anything pleasant!)

Hypothetically, If I walk outside, a missing airliner might fall out of the sky onto the school…

It’s like the April 15th tax deadline. Some people wait till the last minute like midnight April 14th and freak out. My tax return is filed and I feel great.
