Hobbes never lies. Why doesn’t she just ask him if Calvin has been in bed all along?

Isn’t Calvin’s bedroom door on the other side of his bed? If so, why would Rosalyn approach him from the window side? It’s not a big deal … just that Bill Watterson is usually way to detail-oriented to make such minor mistakes.

I have to admit, this is one of Calvin’s better pranks

When I was about 15 I babysitted for 2 boys, about 6 and 8 yrs old. They wanted to stay up until their parents came home which I knew would be well after midnight. So I told ‘em get in bed, you don’t have to go to sleep. Just lay there really quiet. When you hear your folks come in, you can get up.

Well of course they were sound asleep by the time Mom and Dad came home!

I have no sympathy, Calvin.

It usually isn’t a good idea to go down with a sinking ship. Hobbs knows this, so I don’t see him interfering with Justice!
