Back in the 70’s I occasionally worked on a farm. One morning, at 5am, the owner unplugged the electric fence so I could feed the bulls. When I finished with the bulls I plugged it back in.At about 7pm, he says the electric fence has become grounded. He tells me to go out and find out where the grounding has occurred.I ask him,“Did you unplug the fence?”He says," Yes." (at 5am)I assume he meant within the last 5 minutes.I am walking through a wet feed lot running the electric fence wire through my hand when it comes off the ground. The shock caused me to bite through my tongue. My forearm muscles hurt for almost 2 weeks.Since then,“When?” has become an important question.
