Wally: Oogie? Why are you under there? Oogie: The cat groomer made me look ridiculous! Cats are proud! Cats have dignity! Now I'm a laughing stock! I refuse to come out for a least six months! Whirrrrrrrrrrrrr Can opener!!

our cats get food from pop-top cans as well, but for some reason, both will come running when we use the can opener.

zippycats: More frequent brushing eliminates that. The mat will be gone when the hairs composing it are shed. Cats are naturally shorthairs, humans have bred them for those problems.

Yeah, I know I wrote this yesterday, but it’s worth repeating: My extra long-haired calico gets a lion cut every July. She suffers so much when it’s hot that she starts pulling her hair out, and while she hates having it done she’s much happier afterwards. CATS DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR APPEARANCE. THAT’S A HUMAN THING!
