I’m sure Charlie Brown would notice a dead dog on top of the doghouse, Snoopy!!
Whenever I hear or see an ambulance or fire engine drive past, I always stop and breathe a little prayer for those involved, the professionals as well as those who are in trouble.
Since I got an ebook reader, when I get the “two o’clock horrors” like Snoopy, I just lie in bed and read. It has a little clip-on light, so I don’t bother my bedmate.
Snoopy, you live in…on a doghouse in Charlie Brown’s backyard. You’re not alone. And in fact, you even sleep in Charlie’s bed sometimes. Believe me, he’d notice if something happened to you.
If I remember correctly, Schulz didn’t like the name “Peanuts” for the strip but United Feature Syndicate insisted on the name. For a time, “featuring Good Ol’ Charlie Brown” was added to the title as a concession to Schulz and the strip’s popularity. The subtitle, therefore, should be seen as part of the title of the entire series, not simply the individual strip. Charlie Brown IS the featured character in Peanuts.

Snoopy himself once observed “If you think about something at two in the morning and at noon the next day, you get different answers!”

Now I am wondering what was going on in Sparky’s life at the time he drew this particular cartoon..

Snoopy needs to stop drinking root beer before he goes to bed. It keeps him up at night.

The first panel shouldn’t say “Featuring good ol’ Charlie Brown” if he’s not actually in the comic.
