    Ummm, Tarzan, they are free. It’s not like they’re subjugated. But there’s no sense in dying over a job. After all, it’s not like they owned the Plantation to begin with and it was taken from them.

    The natives don’t ‘own’ the plantation, but the land that was just taken for it, used to belong to everyone, to be used in common. Typical western imperialistic, industrial, ‘justification, with no compensation for the original people except ’jobs’.
