My Rat Terrier caught and killed a squirrel last summer. Squirrels are tree rats, and Rat Terriers were bred to kill rats. He can run as fast as a squirrel, and corner just as well. When they are going around a tree, that leaves a squirrel no time to climb a tree.

Not only can’t run fast enough. Can’t change directions on a dime or climb trees.
