now that we’re finally getting a good look at Sarah’s suit, it seems she’s not too much shorter than she was to begin with, whereas Jim seems to be about half his former height.
I still can’t figure out what Sarah is from this angle though.
I hope she is a weasle, my 1st thought was turtle. she looks so smooth. Hope she is not a reptile, and she could still be an otter. All that curly hair made me think poodle, but that doesn’t look like she is.I love this strip, it’s often so whimsical. and fun and like opening a new present every day!.

From this angle, she reminds me of one of the other characters inside Endtown. I think she was one of the other waitresses in Holly’s diner. The troublemaker, maybe. Can’t remember her species, though…
Mmmm…Aaron really does know how to drag this out. Given the way her face is rendered, I’m thinking reptile, perhaps whatever that security person who helped Linda was.
Wasn’t there a strip awhile back where the doctor was talking to a mutant they couldn’t figure out what species he was? I think it was right before Wally & Holly set off on their little adventure here… hope he makes an appearance soon.
I also would love to see more of Jim and Sarah of course (though honestly, I hope she isn’t a lizard. I think Jim is probably going to be be getting the better end of the deal… I wonder if their relationship will survive such a difference in height and warm to cold blooded :P ).
BTW, is there any way to get a character guide at some point. List the major and minor characters with a little recap blurb attached. The cast has grown so much since the beginning, would definitely help with remembering characters that haven’t been in the spotlight for awhile.
I was thinking she looked Snake’ish too… except of course for the hands (hair seems to be a non-issue in Endtown, all types of species seem to retain their human-styled hair, unless the reptiles were wearing wigs). Now that would have been an interesting transition, the loss of limbs might make her regret going for the change… unless she could compensate maybe like Lord Hebi from Usagi Yojimbo :)A dog would be interesting, if it were a beagle or whatever is usually used to hunt raccoons :P
In some ways this sort of reminds me of the villainous Four from the comic Planetary – rolling the dice on superpowers and having to live with whatever fate deals you.
Sarah looks like some kind of lizard. No apparent fur..and only simple pinpoint nostrils..like those of a snake or lizard. .I can see where this is going to cause some relationship issues between them. Perhaps we’ll get two more ‘regular characters’. Could they be spies who are sacrificing their lives for the Topsiders’ cause…looking to infiltrate endtown, knowing they will eventually lose their lives, but feeling dutybound to orders given by Topsiders’ Command, to ferret out mutant hiding places?
Night-Gaunt49 mentioned yesterday the fate of the CG series Beware the Batman. Night, if you’re reading this, I’m sorry to inform you that Cartoon Network axed that show just before the holidays!

I actually suspect Sarah’s a weasel, given the head/neck proportions and the muzzle shape. Which would go along with the, ‘theme’ of Jim’s new form.

Hard to guess from this angle. Y’know, it’s possible neither of them had ever seen the other without a suit on, if they met after the apocalypse…

I’m going to go with iguana here, judging by his shocked expression. Or that may have been his general “holy crap!” look

We may be seeing the main character baton being passed to Jim and Sarah, so Aaron can explore new mutants from another angle.

No, we still have a lot to learn about Holly’s back-story.

I just saw an article on CNN about some high tech armor called the Lorca. Very reminiscent of the topsider head mask.
