Why does she need to be so specific? Maybe with very young kids you need to be, but most of it is common sense which is sorely lacking these days. I’ve always expected my kids to use their brains and be aware of things. Sure, they’re not perfect, but they try and don’t use an excuse of “no one told me!”
Come to think of it, maybe a lot of Elly’s child-raising problems could have been avoided if she bothered to look at her kids for a few seconds to assess. Would’ve saved her a lot of minutes from cleaning up the outcomes.
One time I had just finished washing the kitchen floor and told a friend’s son not to walk on the floor, but he could walk on the ceiling. I caught him trying to climb on the roof. One must know one’s audience. lol

You asked if "baby Richard ever live down being “Baby Richard”?—Yes. He’ll become a rapper and call himself B. Richard.

LOL! I just had a vacuum demo where he vacuumed what looked like my spotless walls. Amazing how much dust he picked up just from two vertical walls.

They need to clean the wall before they move a step from the door. They just might think the next time.

Shoulda looked at them and said “No!”, Elly.

I didn’t mean that Elly should wash the wall. I meant the kids. Does everything have to be spelled out?

How would Mrs. Nichols feel if Michael got his grimy hands all over her wall?
