Andy: You aren't watching "Game of Thrones," you're too young. Jason: You can't tell me what to do, woman! Andy: Excuse me?? I'm your mother! Jason: And I am your king! Now bow before my iron sofa and pray I forgive your insolence! Andy: Hello, HBO? I'd like to cancel... Jason: Mom, I was kidding! These aren't even iron! They're cardboard! Marcus: You said she was fine with this! That's why you said to attach them with super glue!

When it comes to role playing -or anything else in life- Mother always trumps everything, including king. Even kings have mothers. Does not Game of Thrones teach that much?

Betting she doesn’t have a problem with him reading the books.
Sex and violence are completely fine in book form, but the instant it becomes visual? Oh then it’s going too far.
Hypocrite.

I think it’s less that she doesn’t have a problem with Jason reading the books as she can’t cancel his library card.

@ArbitraryBooks allow one to use one’s imagination. The problem with video is that it’s monkey see monkey do.

Saw a special on ScyFy called “My Big Fat Geek Wedding.” The bride and groom met playing games on-line and met in person at a Renaissance Festival. The wedding theme was LOTR/GOT. They had a castle. The ring bearer was a trained falcon, the bride and bridesmaids wore elf ears, the groom and his attendants wore Middle-Earth style armor. The groom bought a new sword for the occasion and engaged in a sword fight before the ceremony after entering on horseback. The reception featured banquet tables with throne seats, a stilt-walker, an acrobat and a fire-breathing dragon. The good news for Jason is that he can one day find his soulmate and have the wedding of his dreams,

Even worse: when I was still living at home, I took a cab from the train station one night. As we were pulling up, the cabbie remarked, “I was just here the other day—I took your sister to her office!”.I replied, “You’re either complimenting her or insulting me—that was my mother.”

also he has watched game of thrones before according to an earlier comic ( the one where they pulled a prank for the first episode of the season by replacing all the horses with “my little pony ones” for about a minute ).

Too late, he’s seen Dexter and The Walking Dead. And, not being a GoT fan, the only inappropriate thing to me seems to be the high body count.
