I’ve grown accustomed to the faithIt almost makes Sunday beginI’ve grown accustomed to the tuneThe service ends by noonThe smiles, the shoutsYour telling lies about(Apologies to Lerner & Lowe?)
It took me a moment to get it. I believe it comes from G.B. Shaw"s “Pygmalion” in which a character exclaims, “Damn, damn, damn, damn, I’ve grown accustomed to her face!” I’ve heard in only once and that was in 7th grade music class.
