I’m moderately confused. How is it that the advertizing mavens are trying to sell me a large screen TV with the surface area of the flight deck of a WW II aircraft carrier, and sell me a phone where I can watch the same programs on a screen the size of a postage stamp?
Although I’m hardly reflexively anti-tech, it still puzzles me that a lot of people just can’t seem to detach themselves from a computer screen even for a few minutes, even when they leave the house. Especially when they leave the house. Personally, I would find it almost impossible not to pay attention to my surroundings whenever I go out. If you’re riding mass transit, then I can understand wanting to divert yourself in some way, especially if you have a long and tedious commute. But when you’re walking about, I just can’t see shutting off most if not all awareness of what’s going on about you. At least, I couldn’t do it, yet plenty of people apparently do.

The only joke I see in this is that the guy is a bit old to be a hipster. Other than that, I don’t get the humor in this one.

I was surprised he didn’t say “watching movies on your phone”. A little longer form than videos.
