Will it be... What's behind the door?... What's behind the curtain?... Or what's in the box? Take what's behind the door! Why should he take what's behind the door? Because there's gotta be at least half a TV studio building behind it- real estate's hardly ever a bad bet! I'll take what's in the box, Monty.

Red! It looks like you are feeling a bit better! And, I’ll bet that the contestant should have chosen the “door!” Which won’t do you much good… ;)

Game Show Trivia..
Let’s Make a Deal!
It was a quick replacement show for a failed soap. 13 week commitment. The audience had no idea what was happening, and sat very quietly as Monty Hall made trades. It was bombing, until in week two, one man wore a polka dot jacket, and had brought a homemade sign. He was picked, won a refrigerator, and the next week everybody was wearing costumes.
The “zonk”, the loser prize, was bought back from the contestants for $250. It wasn’t originally, but one contestant was zonked a mule, and was actually claiming it as his prize. The animal was only rented, so the show was stuck. The rules were changed.
The original supermodel, Carol Merrill, had a fan club that was international in scope. Her marriage, in year 4 of the show, nearly caused a panic at the network. Her year 5 pregnancy caused a rating surge.

Good old Monty Hall and the model Carol Merrill..“I’ll take door number three Monty!”Behind door number three was a goat..You could see by the disappointed look on the contestants face she was thinking..“What the hell am I going to do with a goat?”
