hammy: tag! you're it! verne: "it"? what do you mean...."it"? verne: I'm not an "it". I'm a turtle, a reptile, a cold blooded, carbon based life form with feelings and emotions.....and very low self esteem. verne: do I look like an indefinite pronoun!? hammy: a turtle? rj: news to me.

Verne seems a little touched…

He’s more of a cartoon-based life form.

Verne is a tortoise, not a turtle. No wonder he has low self-esteem – he doesn’t know who he is.

Doesn’t Verne claim to be an amphibian? At least in the movie he does. But when you google turtle and amphibian, it does correct you that they are reptiles. Darn movie lied to me. I can never trust Hollywood again.

SNERK, I’m stealing that one…

He should be a tortoise, which might be why he never said “turtle” in the movie. But he has self-identified as a turtle far too many times in comic history to deny it now. RJ even used to call him “Turtle Boy,” which means he’s either forgetful or dishonest now.

Sometimes Verne needs no help in being miserable.
