tired and tiresome, been done a thousand times, and way late. And we all know how adverse the GOP is to earmarks …. the people elect a Dem. president and now the GOPers get that ‘old time religion ’ … gimme a break

The so-called “earmarks” have been debunked, time and again. Except, of course the pork that GOP had inserted….

The greatest fear the republicans have is that the stimulus plan may well work out … leaving them out in the wilderness for fifty years again.

If it doesn’t work, Obama and the Democrat party will have to take their lumps. If it does work or even if people that vote, believe it will soon work, then Obama will have made his case.

HQ, just a question. If you were in charge, what steps would you take to get us out of the situation as it currently exists (Not what should have been 6 months ago or even 2). We have to deal with things as they are now, so I am honestly interested in hearing what your plan would be.

harleyquinn says “Sure in 8 years 10 million jobs were created”

Would have been nice if they had been created in the USA…

harley, old chum, Bush lost a ton of jobs while “creating” some new, lower-paying jobs. Not terribly impressive, really. Especially since he did his best to squelch the two major areas of new innovation & technology in the world today: life sciences and alternative energy. We created a lot of it, but Europe and Japan are leading both now…
