Which is why owners can’t afford to pay for their own team stadiums!

Or so the owners tell me.

Of which they spend no more than many of our other former presidents, and far less than some. When such is compared to the over all expense of the government (even compared to the expense of just maintaining a “do nothing” congress, it becomes trivial in retrospect anyway!!

Funny how I didn’t hear “conservatives” bitching about the expense of any of Bush’s vacations, or even Clinton’s.

It doesn’t come out of my account. It comes out of the owner’s pocket. There’s no reason to believe ticket prices would lower one red cent if the players were paid less. The owners would more than likely pocket the savings. What’s coming out of my pocket is the cost of the new stadium being built because the billionaire team owner threatened to move the team out of state unless tax payers built one.

Congress and the NFL seem to have similar functions.
