Don’t forget the accompanying snap, crackle and pops from other areas.

It is not those noises I dislike making, it is the ‘other’ noises that happen when I am walking and then at inopportune moments that are embarrassing, particularly after eating broccoli.

@Indy:That’s what’s commonly known as ‘losing compression.’

I qualify a a Plugger since I am 72, but I still get up from furniture, or even the floor without any more trouble than when I was 20. I am limber and without creaks. Of course, I work at it.

Due to severe injuries as a teen and subsequent arthritis I make more noise than a whole box of rice krispies.

At my ripe young Plugger age, I’m just thankful that I can get up and move about…with or without making noise.

Jo Clear (aka: Grasshopper): As one who has cleared eight decades and had a Chevy Caprice climb into his lap (50+ mph is not the proper speed to run a red light in downtown Dallas?), joint noise is the least of it. Trying to find the proper kyi to assist is the problem.

Those noises are when you know you’ve turned into your Dad!

Jo Clear (aka: Grasshopper): The Caprice episode was three decades ago. Except for occasional reminders when I have a load on bent knees, that has healed. And as for kicking, I can do that flat on my back, and have from time to time when my sleep is disturbed. My father died at breakfast, just short of 90, having just finished his weekly nature column. My mother was fully functioning at 100, but took three more years to die. We are a family of long livers – so long, our livers have to be rolled up to fit in our abdomens. :-)

Gee, I thought that WD-40 would solve these problems?
