    Recently my sister bought a kite with inflatable cross members for the structure. Someone had stapled through it, so right out of the package it didn’t work. It’s the thought that counts.

    I don’t see the problem here. If the day is windless, then the regular kite wouldn’t even fly, so helium kite wins. If the day is windy, the wind will still pull on the helium kite and you can still run around with it. Yes, the dynamics change quite a bit but you can still have a lot of fun with less frustration. I would call that a draw. So all in all, I think this is a good invention.
