Tap water! Doesn’t he know that she’ll only accept the finest imported bottled water?

The local hummingbird comes to my window and hovers when the bottle needs a refill. Chirps too.

One year during a bad drought, we had 4 feeders and about 60 hummers every day. They would wake us at dawn wanting the feeders filled, and would hover around my head and perch on my had while I refilled them. The local “resident” hummer would try to defend all four feeders in his “territory” from all comers.

That’s a long hose. I don’t see the house anywhere.

Happy Mother’s Day!

I wear my red exercise shirt while mowing the lawn, and hummingbirds visit. Luckily they have a much lower pitch than yellow-jackets, and they always come around to the front side so I can see that it was a hummingbird.
