I’m not too worried about what JJ Abrams might do to Star Wars, considering what George Lucas did to it in chapters 1-3. Weak stories, bad scripts, overloaded with special effects and an overemphasis on the origin of Darth Vader. In short, no heart or soul. As for Star Trek, rewriting the timeline was brilliant. Best way to pull the rug out from under the fanatical nitpickers who would have torn the movie apart complaining that Abrams did everything wrong. I liked the first movie very much. But the second had enough plot holes and other issues that I’m hoping we won’t see another.
