And here I thought the moral was going to be “Don’t spend so much time making things. Go after the girl, since that’s your dream.” Why would a girl feeding animals want a plane? This seems to contradict most other strips.

Many authors say simply that they had to write. A woman I knew said that, when she had young children, she got up at 4 am to have writing time before they woke up. I guess many artists have said the same. I know of an inventor who lost his marriage because he couldn’t drag himself out of his workshop.

I worked on a multimedia show for the Hercules. Part of my job was research. Hughes used plywood made from seven different woods, none of which were spruce.
