What is it about saying “Peace in our time” or “Envision world peace” etc. that makes you either sneer or snicker, or both? How can it not be admirable to want to bring about peace? Or maybe such cynicism is born out of the seeming futility of ever actually achieving it.
There will never be world peace as long as there are religions. There are over 4000 religions in the world, and almost all claim they are the only “true” religion. And many of these “religions” are more than willing to kill for dominance over all others.
