Agree Bruno. April 12, 1862. Keaton famously did his own stunts – his timing is a marvel. Think I heard the re-enactment was filmed in Oregon, heard the wreck was still there, in a ravine, 30 years after filming. The best of the silent era.

I know who you mean now… They talked to me first….Honest.-Yep, I did start the ‘screen crack’ joke. I have no intention of ending it either. It’s just too funny. I really lost it before when you said that your screen flexed and bulged when my photo of me as a 16 year old was enlarged. That was just too funny. LOL.-Flo said I could keep her skillet… She has a brand new one. So tough luck. Haha.-My Saturday has been sunny. Hope installing the border windows didn’t take up most of the day.-Happy Saturday to you.
I am so lost as to comments and except for early 20’s and late teens Hollywood history, I have no clue as to what is going on…I need to go back a few days and catch up, but its late, and I just dont wanna cuz I am pooped…so nighty nite all…again, Happy Easter and let the Bunnies make you giggle and Enjoy the chocolate eggs etc…
one last comment…Charlie wouldnt be Charlie if it werent for Mabel Normand who directed his first film and kept it going in his second and third…and Harold was great but Mabel was the best! Actress, director and even in spite of Mack Sennet owning the lot, she produced most of Charlies, hers and Fatty Arbuckles films…she is the one who told Harold to find another lot, that Keystone (Mack Sennet’s lot) would never put him where he deserved to be…if you love Charlie, Fatty, or Harold, say a prayer of thanks to Mabel Normand!
oh, Mabel also sent Buster to Joseph and Nicholas Schenck, because they (Keystone/Sennet) had too many comedians and he/they had none…ergo, she introduced him to the woman who would become his wife (albeit it was a terrible marriage) Natalie Talmadge who was the sister of Joe’s wife Norma Talmadge…Hollywood was a very small and incestuous town at the time…
and I adore and totally respect Mabel Normand for all she was…Mack needs to roll over in his grave for his treatment of her…for some reason, I want to call him the a hole word…and if this gets me banned so be it…its what he was…

sheesh, someone stop me…I am a nut about the period between the wars and Hollywood was such a huge part of that era, so I am full of its trivia…
