Zin Rosenblum: I once carried a girls’ softball team in my VW Beetle without removing the seats. But they wouldn’t let me onto the field to unload. Clown car would have the seats removed, front and back bulkheads opened up to get some in the front trunk and engine compartment, and powered by a starter motor and battery. The original Beetles had far more room than they looked and with this modification and small clowns, the capacity was impressive.

Clown car overturned on the Interstate recently. One-car accident, 47 injuries.
