My neighbor has a TV that large. Sits all day, half the night. Gets up in the middle of the night just to watch certain programs. I can watch it from my deck; kinda like an old fashioned drive in movie. (Glad I have a wee bit more of a life.)
One thing one can say about flat-screen TVs is that they weigh much less. We used to have a 25-inch CRT type that someone gave to us. You needed a crane to move it.
A few years ago, the word ‘gigunda’ appeared in one of the Lost Side of Suburbia stories; ‘gigondo’ sounds so similar that I’m wondering whether that’s more than coincidence.
