@A Common ’tater – if someone is a believer in JESUS then when He said “No one comes to the Father but by Me”, means you have to believe there is no other way; unlike many others that say there is many ways.
Here in the US, things can be complicated. Both my parents were Protestant, but two different flavors. The eldest kids went to a Catholic school for a while. I was Baptized (at age 16) as a Methodist but lapsed. Nothing is automatic except death & taxes.
I believe that you are correct, especially since you mention the “mother”, which, I understand, is a Jewish tradition. If you are of that faith, Shalom!!
In my opinion, I’d have to actually join a congregation of a Protestant church to be a “Protestant”. I wasn’t talking about Benjamin Franklin. These days, taxes are automatic in the US, at least. I’d never expect to not pay taxes without unpleasant consequences. Of course, so far, death comes to us all, eventually. Original statements seldom stay pristine. “The exception proves the rule.” Has mutated in the common tongue. “proves” used to mean testing something. The meaning remains in Proofing a firearms barrel. All language evolves, English more than others (my opinion).

Just so you know…NO ONE is born a Christian.
That said, today’s strip reminded me of how the movie “Hop” almost completely turned me off of jelly beans. LOL
