Occupational hazard. You can know too much to be able to enjoy a game or show or movie.
Some of it is acceptable. We all know that sound does not travel in a vacuum, yet we all love those space explosions. Also in a war movie (or even so-called documentaries), if a plane crashes, or there is an explosion two miles away, the sound comes to us at the same time we see it.
I am an ex-pilot with telecommunications experience. One of the Die Hard movies featured planes and playing with the ground equipment for bringing them in. That movie had so many inaccuracies that I swear that the producers went out of their way to write them in.
