Not so far from the truth as to be totally unbelievable but slightly off.Recently in a psychology class I took I read where researchers found to their puzzlement that avid gamers had fewer nightmares where they were being menaced or chased by dream monsters and when they did, gamers were more likely to turn around and face their dream opponents and pound the pulp out of them. Apparently the gamers learned in games that monsters can be faced and killed, so doctors now are using this to help people with PTSD. They help them to fight their fears by creating personalized games that allow them to defeat the things that they’ve been traumatized by and it’s working wonderfully well.

I’ve watched my son-in-law play Grand Theft Auto. Shooting about 250 people in a few minutes. He seems normal. LOL
