Dill: Here I come, ready or not! Dill: YI- KES CRASH Alice: My Daddy says he used to wax the slide to make it slippery. Dill: If I find your Daddy is behind this, I'm going to hide his little car in the sandbox again.
Arianne, Lucrezia, Reynard61, until yesterday I’d forgotten to look at the comments following mine on May 27, about my daughter’s unfortunate experience with diorama grading. I appreciate your comments, and commiserate with all hurt parties involved.
Dill is, like, super! Faster than a speeding bullet! I hope Mr. Otterloop is not responsible for this; I’d hate to see his little car abused (speaking as the owner of a little car myself).
When I was a kid I liked to wear silky polyester shirts when riding those big concrete sllides built on the slope of hills in some parks; they made me extra fast, sometimes too fast actually.

Makes you wonder who was the nit-wit to make a slide with two 90° angles.

no time to contemplate on that slide.

we used the empty waxed paper bread bags to make the slide slick- worked great especially on a sunny day! Plastic bags just don’t work.

Now Alice’s fear of the slide makes sense.

My seven-year-old granddaughter “Alice” wants to make a comment:Always look at the slide before you use it.It could be too fast or too slow.
