Must be a carp. I honestly saw a huge one of those suckers wallow his way out of the water, grab a beetle, then roll back in! YIKES!

As opposed to the Earth being created in six days. Don’t think any evidence has been found to support that either.

Contrary to popular belief, the Bible does not say the Earth was created in six days. It does not specify how long it was ‘without form, and void’, or even what that means. It was this ‘Earth age’ that was created in six days. There are many more misconceptions about the ‘creation story’ that make it seem silly. These traditional concepts confuse the issue, and the anti-christ would like to keep it that way. I suggest that is a good idea to research the matter for yourself. You have nothing but a little time to lose, and EVERYTHING to gain.

Well, if every Bible day was an eon, the bible got it in the correct order. That being said, we are in the seventh eon when He rested. What’s going to happen when He gets his second wind?

Evolution is well documented and continues. Adaptation to environment will happen among species or they will parish.

My Bible says: …And there was evening, and there was morning–the first day… …And there was evening, and there was morning–the second day… …And there was evening, and there was morning–the third day… …And there was evening, and there was morning–the fourth day… …And there was evening, and there was morning–the fifth day… …God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning–the sixth day.

thebird55 is not talking about day-age theory. Here is the sequence of events in the Bible:

God creates the heavens and the earth.

The earth either comes into being without form and void or it becomes that way after an unknown period of time. (Scholars disagree on this, but translating “hayah” as a copulative “was” is simply bad Hebrew.)

After an unspecified period of time, God says, “Let there be light,” and begins six days of creative work. As far as the Bible is concerned, it could be 10 seconds after the creation of the heavens and the earth, or a hundred trillion years.

Skeptics and believers alike need to recognize the difference between Biblical doctrines and extra-biblical traditions like young earth theory.

And… the theory of natural selection is proven by observation. However, it is an unproven extrapolation to say that this proves the theory of evolution.

There is NO evidence that proves the theory of evolution.
