The behavior of the guards doesn’t align with the content of the trial. Either they’re barefaced liars, or this society is made up of top dwellers and bottom dwellers, and the bottoms may be a bit more compassionate to outsiders in the long run.

This is starting to remind me of the Merchant of Venice, They just want a pound of flesh….A pound of flesh. It could be worse…A colony of Lawyer Birds, and they would be litigated to death.“Good morning the worm your Honor! The crown will plainly show the prisoner, who’s been caught red-handed showing feelings.Feelings of an almost human nature! This will not do!”
Yep…..a colony of Injury Lawyers. However they did forget to get the PT out of the rubble.Repair and but the Clive back in…….that would be worth a bit more in restitution. If not……have Wally stand out in the middle of the ring and chunk grenades at him.
What about there loss of property caused by the collapse of the sand spire. I’m sure that that was not an accident but the result of the scout’s activities.
Where are the dittos now?? have they disappeared or are they hiding…or have they been absorbed into ‘feral’ dittos again ..like Marx had said they could do…..I hope the dittos come to the rescue….
Sound’s like some indentured servitude may be in their future. Since the only one they deem worthy of being spoken with is Sarah, perhaps she would be inclined to part with a couple of her “charges” as payment? ;-)
Not their fault. Remember the Air Scout clipped the spire causing it to fall. Wally and company probably will owe damages to that, leaving unsightly tread tracks across their land, disturbing the natural environment, entering their zone of influence with the proper papers or even introductions, careless operation of an aerial vehicle, spying with a drone, generally disruptive behavior, AND not being .
“Reptilian”, not purely Lizard. Maybe I will get to see what a snake Mutant looks like after all. The leader there smacked a little of turtle at a distance.
There’s an awful lot of questions not being asked by our council, almost as though ambushing warm bloods, then enslaving them for damages was a repeated occurrence. Bet there’s a layer of servant warm bloods around, spending an ‘extended vacation in Lizard Land’. I agree the scout was using a ‘ditto cover’ when he got winged.I suppose the ongoing plot could be compared to SciFi creations from the past, however Aaron’s track-record speaks for itself: the upcoming plot twists will be alternately heart rending and heart warming, with some brain-twisting in between. Grab you popcorn and check your shoulder harnesses, kiddos.
I love the lay-out of our intrepid travelers. very artistic and evocative of brave people. These reptiles are a mean with a nasty temperment.looked up the conspiracy guy, I had seen some stuff on the ancient reptilian aristocracy. as evil and rich as most of them are it is i’t to wonder..ancient aliens from the beyond.

“Confiscated”, not stolen. That’s a relief.

It’s like being sued by a thief who hurts himself breaking into your home..

My objection is not with laws or with lawyers but with the worst of attorneys, whose behavior the reptilians mimic.

Maybe the colony is all-male lizards, and Sarah is the first female lizard they’ve seen. Maybe that’s how they want her to pay them off…
