I don’t drink instant coffee (actually, I’m a tea person), but it sure looks like the kids went way overboard! =-O

Taster’s Choice is good in a pinch or for single servings. 2 heaping tbs is about what I use, but then I have a 32 ounce cup.

I keep instant around in case I run out of real coffee. I also use a bit in chocolate recipes, it seems to boost the chocolate taste.

    Happy Canada Day!

Boots, where did you get your cup? We have the “big dog” 32 oz cups, but broke one the other day. Haven’t been able to find another

My room mate would eat instant coffee by the teaspoon when working late. Didn’t bother to add water.

My son used to make coffee so strong it could pour itself.

OK, sometimes for my “cooking for the homeless” gigs I made two wacky cakes (you can look it up), and make an easy mocha frosting with 1/4 c. butter (1/2 stick) softened slightly, 1 tbsp. cocoa, 1 1/2 c. confectioner’s sugar (sifted), 1 tbsp. instant coffee (or two Taster’s Choice 2-gram packets), 1/2 tsp. vanilla, and milk.Cream butter, add cocoa and coffee, add sugar, vanilla, and milk to make spreadable consistency. It doesn’t take much milk, so add very sparingly. An easy and tasty recipe!

If it ain’t a Keurig, you don’t want me making your coffee, as I don’t drink the stuff. First place I worked made that mistake; you probably could have stood a serving spoon in that mud. Had to be the blackest coffee ever. And the can had no directions on it, apparently assuming everyone knew how to make a pot of coffee. Wrong!

Why would Lynn have felt badly about saying something from the strip “Cathy”? I mean, if Michael started dragging around a stuffed tiger, OK, that is an obvious ripoff. But there is no known case of a Cathy strip where she said “Gakkk!” followed by a ©

Ahhh, Don Martin. One of a kind, that guy. An all-time personal favorite…I loved Fester & Karbunkle and Captain Klutz.

I’ve actually found an instant coffee I like at Dollar Tree, of all places. The Pampa brand puts it out and it has a licorice-like taste to it. A little sugar, a little milk and I’m good to go. I prefer buying two-pound bags of beans we grind and brew at home (they last for weeks), but Pampa is good when we run out of beans. And I NEVER go to Starbucks. Anyone who pays $3 for a cup of coffee needs counseling.
