Heh. That scrambled a lot of people’s predictions right there. But, for outsiders, you don’t get the delicious, luscious eggs. All we have for the likes of you are these nasty, revolting sirloin steaks. Suckers.

Eggs!! The very thing (along with Maude’s milk, of course) that landed Wally and Holly on the outside!

Not lizard eggs, I hope.

At least there are several ways to prepare them. Have these guys have embraced their mutant characteristics, or is there a giant mutant flock of chickens somewhere?

I bet those are lizard eggs, although probably unfertilised, therefore considered non-life.

Ok, so they are Ovo-raptors, that’s something of a relief, except until the source of the eggs are finally revealed.There must be a hen house somewhere in their city.

Holly could teach them to cook those eggs a LOT of different ways! Raw is okay if it’s in your beer, but otherwise? Ewwwww!

I think it sucks eggs.

How about cooked? It looks like the other people are are eating theirs raw.

I’m guessing that cooked eggs and other delicacies are limited to the higher ranks. Outsiders and lower members of society only get raw eggs.On a happier note, this will be my last morning posting here. I accepted a contract position at Spirit Aerosystems and will be starting work Monday.

Beans for Endtown, now eggs for Lizard City. What’s next, cabbage?

Seriously, cabbage (and onions) are relatively easy and cheap vegetables to grow.

Whatever is providing the eggs has to eat something to provide the mass.

’Taint safe to keep raw eggs around long—-and, since this place looks like it might not have refrigeration, these eggs must be fairly close to fresh-laid.

Just had a nasty thought (please forgive if it has been mentioned here alresdy). If these are Lucranians, and they built the Opibinia Queen…and that ship was sentient…. Will they have a use for Clive the brain? Lots of ifs…

Hey! Not beans!

But actually, that makes sense, given the society structure and location. I had figured earlier on that it wasn’t going to be beans and that Aaron had something else in mind, I just couldn’t predict what.

Part of me was afraid it’d be other mutants, those that the lizard folk consider their “lessers.” I’m a little relieved to see that doesn’t seem to be the case

The guy in the back is chewing his egg and it’s halfway done and not leaking all over the place, so I assume they don’t have to be raw.“We got eggs… We got’em raw, we got’em scrambled, we got’em hard boiled, we got’em fried, we got’em baked… We don’t got’em microwaved…”

My guess is, since the lizard people treat non-lizards with no respect, I bet they caught an ostrich mutant and are making her lay eggs.

At least the eggs are not reptillian. But the whole thing has so many levels of creepy and unanswereds that I’m not even going to try to speculate. Just hang on and go for the ride.

Lucranians are pro tech, these reptilians seem to much more medieval and non-tech. I expect the reptiles blame much of the end of the world on technology and are trying to create a new world without it.

Doesn’t look like the egg is hard-boiled; you peel the shell off and then eat. I’m thinking soft-boiled, where you crack the shell and scoop it out.
