We used to have a boxer-pit cross who had to see out of BOTH sides of the car – at the same time, if she could manage it. You could always tell which car was ours – the Nissan that rocked back and forth while the dog charged from one side of the car to the other.
I feel like a bad parent. Our dog rides in the kennel in the back seat (usually). Of course, on the few occasions he’s ridden without, he just lay on the seat and cowered.
cdward….You are one of the good parents. every dog should be attached to a dog seat belt or a crate. If hit by a another car, hitting a speed bump or slamming on the brakes your dog could fly around and be hurt or die. As for letting your dog stick their head out the window that is especially bad for their eyes.
