I am always careful when I need to speak about “government workers”, as I know there are many shirkers in government positions.However, my wife worked as a Registered Nurse for the VA, serving as manager of the Minneapolis VA Eye Clinic until she retired two years ago after more than five years in the position. It was not a cushy role, and they went through several individuals in the first few months after she left, until they found someone who could stand the pressure and do the job!

As I said, there are a lot of shirkers in government positions as there is with private business. I had a business for a very long time and had my share of hard working soles as well as those who just didn’t give a crap!Of course, as for the later types, I quickly removed them from the role they were supposed to play.Not quite as easy to do with those employed in the public sector.
