    I find these as humorous today as when they were new. I spent those years on the staff of academic institutions, and recognized the characters as caricatures. I knew these people! That has always been the genius of GT – he wasn’t really making this up!

    I love reading these, it takes me back to the 70s when live plants were everywhere. My first job was taking care of plants in office buildings and restaurants!

    We all need buddies like Zonker’s little leafy friends. .I am currently looking for an appropriate leafy friend for my desk at work. The one I had is home with me. Because it flowers, and flowers have scent and pollen and other people (who have never complained) are sensitive to scents and pollen. I am sensitive to some scents and pollens. My plant never bothered me. sigh.
