Poor little Rory. And probaby on a full stomach too after all that hay yesterday. Oh well, if he should wind up back at the clinic for something to settle his tum, no guessing what he’ll find in the garbage bin. Maybe some legwarmers.
At least he only did it once, my old dog would do it about 3 or 4 times before lying down. They do it to “make their bed” much like the wolves. My dog now just lays down, however he will try to make his bed more comfy by pawing it into place! ;)
It is said that a dog circles three time before lying down. It’s supposed to be to trample the grass down. Who wants grass blades sticking up their nose while trying to sleep?

You have to learn to “spot” Rory so you won’t get dizzy in future when he does it again.

Dizzy Rory. More so than normal even!
This makes me think of the Billy Preston song “Will It Go Round In Circles”. Have fun with that all day. LOL

Everybody thinks dogs do that before laying down. They don’t—they simply lay down after doing that ‘cause going in circles is tiring.

The dog is simply winding himself because he’s a watchdog.

I’d be having motion-sickness too if I had a dog sled where the dogs to that.
