Someone with his figure doesn’t do “sudden” unless it’s a heart-attack or stroke.

Sadly, in today’s global environment, this comic is a lot less funny than it used to be.

Hello, Cleo pals and puzzle fans… present and future!

Saturday again… Liverlips, perhaps it’ll help if you can drown your sorrows in the hunt for nine differences….

in the Jan th  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY” puzzle.

I realise that opening a can of worms is not a recipe for comfort…. but it’s a distraction, anyway.

Aaah… I refreshed before posting, and I see that you’ve already provided the link while I was typing.

And you did say Cleo was “helping.” To each his own.

Here’s my side by side version… it makes it… not easier, to me, but gentler on the eyes….

    Going cross-eyed vertically is uncomfortable.

    https://i.postimg.cc/rm5KwthP/Cleo-nine-differences-Jan-25th-20.png

PLEASE don’t let any of those creatures escape into the kitchen while you work on it..

NO…. please don’t give me any recipes, either…. I’m delicate this time of day/night.

I’d say from just about 12:00 pm until, say, l 11:59 am is NOT a good time for that.

    Solve away….

But be sure to come back later to discuss it….

and then to see the animation solution kindly provided by the semi-anonymous animation-solution-maker PERFECTIONISTA, who Can bi very helpful, and we thank her.

    Why, thanks, Dennis…. I always try to…

um…. wait…. you didn’t mean my advice, did you.

Sigh…. cos my post is after yours, so you hadn’t seen it.

Or the one from Liverlips… or you’d know he posted the link.

Wouldn’t it be nice if they came up automatically, without refreshing?

It can’t be impossible cos Gmail does that.

Seven for me, and I think I will live to fight another day. I wouldn’t even attempt this one without the side-by-side from * Little Miss Sunshine*. I could see at a glance that this one was going to make me cross-eyed.

    Before I go….

    I’ll leave you with today’s animation solution…

direct from the semi-anonymous animation-solution-maker PERFECTIONISTA herself!

It Can bi a big help…. but you’d better not look before you try to finish it.

       1.  Top panel: Cheapskate C&C producers refuse to pay for real worms – steal radiator hose from ‘57 Studebaker and cut it into wormlike sections instead. Bottom Panel: Sometimes a worm is just a worm.

       2.  Top: Cleo is lovingly hanging on Claude’s every word. Bottom: Cleo is wondering how Claude’s head would look on a pike.

       3.  Top: Claude’s middle finger is obscured by his index finger. Bottom: Claude’s middle severed in OTJ accident during “legendary Sherpa rebuild”.

       4.  Top: Can opener is ACME Model 001. Bottom: Protusion from top of can opener connected to surveillance pickle from Frog Applause.

“Highly Technical” section was a rerun – I told you I had nuthin’.

And I only got 7! In looking at the solution gif, the two I missed were obvious! Go figure. I was counting the slashes on the doorway, the number of tiles on the floor, but, nooooooooo. Nighthawks really got me! Always hiding in plain sight.
