The first few seconds of entering a pool are always the worse, but then the cold fades away and you get to enjoy the water.

Not so different from the cat that asks to go outside and changes its mind when you open the door and it sees it’s raining. Two minutes later it will ask to go out again because it’s forgotten about the rain.
