The only thing I learned about community property is that my Ex got half of it. But by the time it was all over “half” turned out to be just a legal term. I got to keep my used shorts.
They stopped making RC (Royal Crown) cola years ago in the US. They sold out to Cott, I think, and stopped US distribution. The label was really blue with red underlining the name though.

If you just live with someone long enough, 7 years in most places, which constitutes a common law marriage, they can claim community property too, and take half the stuff acquired during the relationship. They can even sue for custody of your dog.
Community property is a term that signifies the co-ownership of everything purchased during the existence of the community (I.e. Marriage). Technically that means a 50-50 split but the courts (i.e. lawyers) look at the contributory factor of each principle of the community and often award the lions share to the wives, who often retain custody of any children and require the additional resources needed to accomplish that task.
