I can’t believe Marv Newland’s homemade animated cartoon “Bambi vs. Godzilla” has withstood the test of time and is now widely known in American culture. I remember seeing it for the first time at an Animation Festival in college in 1969. The animation is blatantly amateurish and the plot nonexistent but it is still one of my favorite cartoon shorts. I just went to YouTube and watched it again… and laughed again.
